Training Requirements

Tryout attendees are required to be over the age of 18 and physically fit to compete in contact sports. There are no height, weight or gender requirements. Prior wrestling experience is not necessary.

Why Do We Have Tryouts?

Tryouts are essential for coaches to assess your physical fitness, coachability and overall health. Professional wrestling is a highly physical sport that involves risks to both yourself and the people you train with. To make the academy as safe of an environment as possible, we must ensure that new students coming in are capable of what is required.

Who Are The Head Coaches?

Robbie Eagles

As most notably seen on New Japan Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerilla and Chikara Pro Wrestling, Robbie brings 12+ years of experience to the coaching team. While he may be known of his high-flying offence, Robbie is well versed in grappling and loves to push students to their physical limits.

Madison Eagles

The 2011 PWI #1 Female Wrestler in the world and former 2x Shimmer Champion helps lead our coaching staff. As an active competitor since 2001, Madison has watched and shaped the evolution of Australian pro wrestling. Alongside her pro wrestling accomplishments, she has experience in mixed martial arts, gymnastics and athletics.

Mick Moretti

Since 2009, Mick Moretti has been on the front line of Australian pro wrestling. Now seen competing overseas for companies such as Pro Wrestling Guerilla, Chikara Pro and was part of New Japan Pro Wrestling's Australian tours. Starting the #YoureGonnaNoticeUs and #NowWeConquer movements has helped set Moretti apart.

Class Structure

Students are separated into three groups based on their skill level. This way, we can help develop students who have never trained before and those who come in with experience.

Private Classes

Our coaching team also hold private classes to help streamline your development or help train outside of class hours. Private classes are only available to students/wrestlers currently training. To enquire about private coaching, please contact your coach of choice directly..

Student Success

The Pro Wrestling Academy has produced several successful professional wrestlers on both national and international levels. Most notably former WWE Women's Tag Team Champions The Iiconcs, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, both made their start at the Pro Wrestling Academy.

Additionally, the academy has played a part in developing talent seen on New Japan Pro Wrestling, WWE NXT and All Elite Wrestling.
